OUR MISSION & GOALS
The Association's mission is to strengthen and promote joint labor/management educational programs in order to solidify the commitment of companies, unions and employees to the philosophy and practice of lifelong learning. Workplace development, through  participation in joint education and training initiatives, increases America's competitive edge in the globalized economy & labor market.

PROGRAMS, ACTIVITIES & REPORTS
The Association is involved with research, seminars and events that focus on significant issues pertaining to worker education. These include The Workplace Education & Distance Learning Conference, The Distance Learning Educational Module, participation in The Workplace Learning: Progress through Innovation Conference, as well as securing funding for a feasibility study for the development of a Career Transcript for incumbent workers, and a paper titled Perspectives on Lifelong Learning.

21st CENTURY WORKFORCE COMMISSION
The Commission was mandated by the Workforce Investment Act to hold hearings across the country to gather data on all matters relating to Information Technology workers in the US. Read the Association's testimony on IT training initatives taking place at member and supporter worksites.
